Controls Engineer

Description & Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity offering many avenues for growth and development in the field Control Systems. We are developing new control algorithms for wind turbines utilizing optical wind sensors.

The following skills are required:

• Solid Background in Linear and Nonlinear Control Systems
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
• Solid Background in Rigid Body Dynamics
• Responsible team player.
• Self Starter.
• Motivated, detail Oriented/good analytical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Self Starter
• Detail Oriented
• Able to work in a fast paced environment on delicate instrumentation
• Flexible working hours (Second Shift availability a plus)
• Position Reports to Electrical and Electronics Engineering Leader

The following skills are preferred:

• Experience with Low Speed Aerodynamics
• Experience with Rotorcraft Aeromechanic Stability and Controls
• Experience with Rotor Blade Dynamics
• Experience with Wind Turbine Controls

Education: BS in Engineering; Master’s Preferred

Experience: 5 years
