Senior Electrical Engineer
Purpose
Design and implement engineered electrical systems, products and solutions to support the technical, manufacturing and installation teams at Catch the Wind.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and test current designs to ensure reliability and performance as manufacturing progresses
- Troubleshoot and find solutions for any issues relating to manufacturing, installations or customer requirements
- Creating new designs to develop next-generation products and improve product capabilities and reliability
Mechanical Engineer
Job Purpose:
Designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
- Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Wind Data Analyst
This role will be divided between IT work and energy analysis with strong participation in tools design.
Responsibilities
- Undertake energy production assessments, which include site visits, wind data processing and quality checking, correlation analysis, wind flow and wake modeling, review of energy losses, statistical analysis and produce a report.
- Undertake site conditions assessments which include elements of the above but also a review of extreme wind speed, ambient and wake induced turbulence intensity, wind shear and temperature range.
Electrical Technician
CTW is seeking an experienced electrical technician to fill an open position in its production team.
The technician will be assigned a broad range of responsibilities associated with the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and reworking circuit cards and electrical assemblies to be use in fiber laser amplifier systems. Past experience with opto-electronic assembly as well as familiarity with electronic test equipment is strongly desired. This position requires 3-5 years of technical experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuitry. Must be able to read and interpret all testing documentation, including schematics, blueprints, work instructions, and test procedures. The ideal candidate must be capable of working with limited supervision and direction from engineering staff and must be a highly motivated self-starter.
Fiber Optic Technician
CTW is seeking an experienced (at least 3 to 5 years) fiber optics technician to fill an open position in its production team.
The technician will be assigned a broad range of responsibilities associated with the assembly and test of fiber optic assemblies to be use in fiber laser amplifier systems. Past experience with opto-electronic assembly as well as familiarity with test equipment such as optical power meters is strongly desired. Experience with passive and active fiber splicing, fiber routing, fiber management, and handling of electrical PCBs is required. The ideal candidate must be capable of working with limited supervision and direction from engineering staff and must be a highly motivated self-starter.
