Vindicator® Laser Wind Sensor Sea Trials

This video documents maritime testing for the Vindicator® laser wind sensor, held at Hilton Head Island, SC in February 2007.
For these tests, the Vindicator® system was mounted on top of a boat along with a sonic anemometer. Both measured wind speed and direction while the boat was in motion and the data was correlated during and after the tests.

Performing this trial demonstrated that the Vindicator® LWS is rugged, maintaining optimal performance in the midst of vibration and harsh conditions. The unit is also fully motion-compensated and operates in a maritime environment.
